Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (Z.A.A.) founder Conrad Mwanza has hailed the support from Zimbabwean owned businesses in his quest to recognise and celebrate Zimbabweans around the world. The Z.A.A. International Chairman was speaking in an interview recently and stressed how instrumental the support has been in making Z.A.A. a success.
The awards are held annually with five editions in different countries so far and Mwanza was keen to emphasize the role played by the Zimbabwean-owned businesses in complementing his vision of recognition and celebration of Zimbabwean achievers around the globe.
“The vision behind Zim-Achievers is to bring the achievements and contributions of Zimbabweans around the world to the public consciousness and recognise and celebrate one another in making positive changes and I must say the support from fellow Zimbabweans in business has been very key in bringing the vision to reality,” Mwanza said.
“We have received support from various businesses through sponsorship, partnerships and collaborations in making sure that beyond the awarding we carry on pushing our Zimbabwean success stories and are grateful for such. The quest to keep Zimbabwean flag flying high rests on all our shoulders and is a conscious collective effort in working towards one common goal – which is making our people and country the best we can be.”
Z.A.A. was founded by Mwanza in 2010 and to date have editions of the awards in five countries, namely the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, and Canada – which is set to hold its inaugural edition in June this year, and some of the Zimbabwean owned businesses that have been involved with the events include but are not limited to Stirling Manor Boutique and Indlovukazi, eZimtech Distributors, Blose AS and Genesis Law Associates Solicitors Ltd. among others.
The South African editions of Z.A.A. are some of the most keenly followed due to the country’s proximity to Zimbabwe and Stirling Manor Boutique and Indlovukazi Guesthouses have been notable supporters of the awards. The Z.A.A. UK edition – which is the flagship of the awards – has also seen tremendous support with the likes of Blose Architectural Services also coming on board. The UK-based firm offers innovative and classy architectural services in bringing construction projects from the drawing board to completion. They offer free initial consultations with clients and have built a solid reputation for providing excellent services and technical ability in design solutions.
The 2019 UK edition business category in the awards is sponsored by eZimtech Distributors which is owned and run by Zimbabwean businessman, Nkosinathi Zvimba, and specialises in selling Obsolete and Excess Inventory Electronics parts to contract manufacturers and designing engineers all over the world among their other specialties such as electronic components distribution.
Birmingham based law firm, Genesis Law Associates Solicitors Ltd., has also been a long standing supporter and partner of Z.A.A. and specialises in immigration and nationality law cases, and offer other legal services such as will writing, business counsel and case studies to their clients.
