The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards mourns the loss of an iconic musician and patron of the organisation.
Dr Oliver Mtukudzi was an industrious member of various charitable organisations over the years and was both instrumental and inspirational in the shaping of our African continent.
His influence to the music industry, together with his fearless and creative spirit both inspired and motivated us. His wisdom and leadership stimulated significant change in key areas vital to the development of music and the arts industry in Zimbabwe.
As one of Zimbabwe’s most renowned and most recognised voices to emerge from the country onto the international scene, and with 67 albums to his name, he earned a devoted following across Africa and Europe.
He was a humble man and an exceptional role model. We remember and celebrate his work, his life and for being an example of the excellence to which we as a community aspire.

The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (Z.A.A.) was founded in 2010 by Conrad Mwanza. Z.A.A. is the pinnacle of celebration of talent, art, business, expression and achievement in the Zimbabwean community throughout a very broad spectrum of genre, born out of a simple vision. The Z.A.A is a distinctly special awards ceremony seeking to recognise Zimbabweans who have pushed the limits against all odds to raise the Zimbabwean flag high and do both themselves and their fellow countrymen proud. The Z.A.A. has become one of the most important events in the African community.
